UI Extends School Fees Payment Deadline to May 11

The University of Ibadan has extended the deadline for school fees payment and course registration to 11th May, 2026.

In a statement released today, 28th April, 2026, the University of Ibadan Students' Union informed students that the extension was granted by the University management following further deliberations.

The deadline, which was initially 16th April, 2026, had already been extended once to 30th April, 2026, before today’s further extension to 11th May, 2026.

The statement noted that the extension was granted by the University management in consideration of the challenges faced by students, which include issues related to Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) disbursement and payment processes.

The Students' Union further advised students to take advantage of the extension and ensure completion of all necessary payments and registrations within the stipulated time.

"Students are strongly advised to take advantage of this final extension and ensure that all necessary payments and registrations are completed within the stipulated time," the statement read.

The statement further informed students to regard the extension as a concession and not as a continuous adjustment, while also indicating that further extensions may not be guaranteed.
