Through the Struggles

July 11, 2026Waking up becomes difficult. Moving forward feels like a burden. I try, I push, I force myself to keep going, but the strength simply is not there. Day after day, I carry the guilt of missing out, falling behind and not meeting expectations. These thoughts weigh heavily on my heart. Slowly, the willingness to keep going begins to fade, and the struggles start piling up, one after another.
The desire to stand among people, to feel relevant, even to simply show up, begins to fade. Each day, the gap between what I know and what I should know widens. I begin to realize how little I truly understand and how much more there is to learn.
For some, this experience breaks them. For others, it shapes them. But one thing is certain: this moment is brutal, it is not easy. At certain points in life, this phase sets in, and overcoming it feels almost impossible.
Yet, without these struggles, we cannot become who we are meant to be. Our goals and dreams are often shaped by seasons of hardship, moments that test us, but do not last forever. The people we admire, the mentors we look up to, all passed through similar storms. The most important thing is this: we must never allow our struggles to define us.
Life does not reward those who merely deserve success; it rewards those who rise and claim it. Moments of struggles are opportunities to fight the temptation to remain inactive, to stop dreaming endlessly without action, and to take decisive steps towards what we pursue.
Sometimes life feels unfair. It may seem unjust, and we may feel cheated. That feeling is normal. It happens. But those very moments refine us. Without mistakes and failures, growth would be impossible. Every solution we celebrate today was born from a problem. The more problems we solve, the more we grow.
Do not be overwhelmed by today’s difficulties. Let those challenges strengthen you rather than discourage you. But one thing must remain certain: discipline, consistency, and commitment are essential on the journey to success.
As Denzel Washington wisely said, “Dreams without goals are just dreams, and ultimately, they fuel disappointment. On the road to achieving your dreams, you must apply discipline, but more importantly, consistency. Because without commitment, you will never start. But without consistency, you will never finish.”
Struggles are not the end of our stories; they are the process shaping them.
