Yawmul Arafah is the 9th day of the month of Dhul Hijjah. It is one of the most cherished days for Muslims. Some Muslims start fasting from the first day of Dhul Hijjah, and it is highly encouraged for Muslims to fast on the 9th day, Yawmul Arafah.

Yawmul Arafah is one of the holiest days in Islam. This is evident in the Qur'an (Sūrah Al-Mā'idah, 5:3), where Allah ﷻ says:

"...This day I have perfected for you your religion, completed My favor upon you, and approved Islam as your religion..."

This verse is reported to have been revealed on the Day of Arafah.

On this day, pilgrims performing Hajj gather at the plain of Arafah, while those who are not performing Hajj are encouraged to fast.

Among the virtues of this day is that Allah تبارك وتعالى descends to the lowest heaven and boasts to the angels about His servants standing at Arafah, calling upon Him. He forgives sins, accepts supplications, and frees many people from the Hellfire.

Allahu Akbar!

Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, let us prepare ourselves for this blessed day of the year and not miss this great opportunity. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى preserve our lives to witness it. Ameen.
