Scholar Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet’s Companions

Shaykh Habeebullah Miftahudeen has urged the Muslim Ummah to emulate the exemplary character of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Shaykh Habeebullah made the call during the Spiritual Night held at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque on Thursday, 18th September, 2025.

Delivering a lecture on the topic “The Lives That Lit”, he described the companions as guiding lights and steadfast believers who endured trials while safeguarding the Deen and transmitting it without distortion.

The scholar stressed the need for Muslims to refrain from speaking ill of the companions, noting that they were the Prophet’s closest followers and remain among the best of mankind.

Shaykh Habeebullah urged Muslims to take the companions as role models and to love them, adding that such devotion would bring believers closer to Allah.
