Poem: Another Page

Zainullah Fajobi
July 05, 2025The room is quiet,
But my mind won’t sit still.
Books open,
Pages waiting,
But I scroll through hours
Like they’re cheap and endless.
Outside, laughter fades into night.
Inside, I rehearse excuses,
Write nothing…
But feel everything.
I should’ve started,
But now, I just want the clock to pause.
Still, I rise with tired bones,
Chasing light through the fog of guilt.
Maybe the work isn’t done,
But I am.
Till tomorrow…
When I try again.
