NELFUND Refunds: UI Students to Begin Online Application

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UISU) has announced the commencement of online applications for the refund of school fees paid by students before the approval of their NELFUND loans for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a notice by the Students’ Union, the refund portal will open on Monday, 17 August 2026, and remain accessible for four weeks.

The notice stated that students who paid their school fees, either in full or in part, before the approval of their NELFUND loans are eligible to apply for refunds.

The Union advised eligible students to carefully read and follow all instructions contained in the refund manual before submitting their details to avoid errors during the application process.

The notice further clarified that the refund process is completely online, stressing that eligible students are not required to submit paper documents.

The notice explained that applicants can also monitor the status of their refund applications through the same platform while also encouraging students to complete their applications within the stipulated period.
