The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, University of Ibadan (MSSNUI), has made a donation of a wheelchair to the University Health Services, Jaja Clinic, on Monday, 13th January, 2025.

According to the immediate past Ameer, Mallam Musa Sodiq, the donation was motivated by a need observed during a visit to the clinic. Mallam Musa recalled an incident where a student had to be carried into the clinic due to the lack of a wheelchair.

"There's a day when we went to Jaja with one of our students who was sick then, while we got there with our bus, we noticed that there's nothing to get the patient inside, it's awkward that we had to get a brother to carry the sister inside Jaja," he said

A similar incident occurred at the Central Mosque during Ramadan, where a student collapsed and had to be carried. These experiences prompted the former Ameer to initiate efforts to acquire a wheelchair for Jaja Clinic.

"I thought it's best to get a wheelchair for Jaja and I prayed to Allah to help us in that regard, after reaching out to people on it, we were eventually able to get a donation for it."

Present during the donation were Sodiq Musa, immediate past Ameer; Umar Faruq Qamardeen, current Ameer; Abdulrofiu Sulayman; Ahmad Tajudeen; Eyinade Sulaiman; Abdullateef Odebode; Khadijah Bakre; and some other members of the MSSNUI.
