Jihad Week Vox-Pop
MSSN UI
March 02, 2024c Question: What’s your view about the Jihad Week Awareness Train?
"I think it should be mandatory for all. It’s our quota to Islam to contribute our part to the Dawah just like our Predecessors. Also, we need to make people aware of MSSN as a society, as some students are not aware. Some Muslim students are frustrated by other society and if they realize that there’s a united body for the Muslim students to join, they can derive strength from it." — Aasiyah Abdullah
"I’m witnessing this for the first time. It’s a lovely session and I pray Allah rewards everyone abundantly." — Adebisi Roheemah
"It’s nice. The way we sisters and brothers are moving together as one. I love it. May Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah." — Abdulrasaq Waleeyah
"It's nice, I find pleasure in it. I just think that next time, we should be chanting something, so that the echo from us will make people aware that something is happening. I love the way we were walking though." — Maryam Ayoade
"The awareness train is good. It’s very exciting to me as I’m a man-o-war member and we like this type of trekking. But my concern is that will the people be able to complete the trekking because they’re walking slowly which will make them tired easily. Also, some people do not know the reason why they’re walking coupled with the fact that they’re not saying anything. We call it gyration, when you’re walking and saying something or repeating it which in turn boost your morale. Most people are just walking and at some point, it makes no sense to them." — Oladapo Aliyu
"It’s fine because it’s an awareness that we Muslims on campus need. There have been a lot of event going on campus organized by MSSN and some people are not even aware of it. It’s very good to make awareness so that people can be aware. A lot of people, who are Muslims don’t even know that there are Muslim programs and they would have loved to attend." — Oyetunji Abdulbasit
"The awareness train is just to kickstart the program and it’s a good idea to make awareness about Jihad Week around the university to make them aware of the Muslim community" — Abdulmuiz Abdulbasit
