December 27, 2025The 115th edition of the Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) organised by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), B-Zone, has recorded its highest number of delegates in seven years, findings by IVC Radio have revealed.
A review of attendance records from 2019 to 2025 shows that the 2019 IVC recorded a total of 7,081 delegates. This figure dropped significantly in 2020 to 1,265 delegates due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A significant improvement was recorded in 2022 when IVC had 5,740 delegates. In 2023, 5,807 delegates were in camp, while 2024 recorded a total of 5,957 delegates.
However, 8,785 delegates have been checked in at the ongoing IVC out of over 10,000 registered delegates. This represents a notable increase from recent years based on available data. This progress can also be attributed to the introduction of a digital registration platform made available before the camp commenced.
Reacting to the development, the IVC Organiser, Mallam Alli Abdulsalam, attributed the turnout, among other factors, to improved infrastructural facilities and publicity efforts.
He said, “Many people decided to come for IVC this year due to the infrastructural uplifts of the Permanent Site. Also, IVC Radio has been very helpful with publicity for the camp.”
He further implored the leadership of the zone to increase their efforts towards further development.
