In a spirited gathering that showcased camaraderie and shared accomplishments, final year Muslim students at the University of Ibadan held their annual get-together on 27 October, 2024 at the Heritage Park of the University.

The event served as a platform for reflection, networking, and the celebration of their academic journeys as they prepare to transition into the next phase of their lives.

The event opened with individual introductions from the final year students following the order of: name, department, marital status, fun-fact and entrepreneurship skills.

Speaking on the theme of the occasion; Adulthood Unscripted, the Guest Lecturer, Dr Selim Alarape said that graduation in university marks the end of fake life and the Finalists should prepare to live in reality.

He explained, "After your graduation, you now start to face the real challenges of life. The best is to prepare for them as at now. Ask yourself what you could do aside your courses of study in school. Most things you want to become in life will not come easily on time. So, you have to get something you're doing before your dreams come true."

He added, "embrace humility and humbleness as you're graduating. One of the things Degree births is arrogance. Don't look down on anyone or any job. Lastly, make sure you're always with the righteous folks because your Imān (faith) will be tested after school."

In a related development, the participants engaged in different games and puzzles, and the winners were rewarded with prizes.

Thereafter, the Chairman of the Forum, Ismail Eminence, announced the next programmes for the Forum which included Scholarship Seminar and Marriage Seminar.

The program came to a wrap with a closing remark by the Ameer of Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, University of Ibadan Branch, (MSSN UI), Mallam Sodiq Musa as refreshments were shared amongst the attendees.
